A hot shower before wax your appointment is a big NO.

I often come a cross people who say to me: "I am going on holiday next week but I have my wax a week ahead?” I explain why people do this and what they should do instead to make the gap smaller in-between the wax appointment and your holiday, however we all know you are not allowed to sunbathe for about 24-48 hours post wax, entirely depending on your sensitivity.

This is where people go wrong:
A hot and long shower on the day of your appointment (too close to your appointment) makes your skin not robust enough to be able to take the standard heat of the warm wax/strip wax as this adheres to the skin resulting in very high sensitivity and long recovery time!
The hair is usually more elastic after a hot shower, and harder to remove to the point where it can snap, or just acts like a rubber band leaving hair behind.

This is what you can do to minimise the sensitivity and recovery time!
You should have cool and short shower on the day with a long gap in-between your shower and your wax appointment.

As you can see having a cool and short shower has all the benefits making your hair removal less sensitive, less recovery time , effective hair removal and it has many other health benefits.
