Exfoliating before your waxing treatment.

The reason for exfoliating is that we can get hairs that are about to come through but the dry skin is blocking their way.
The most important question is when do we exfoliate? I would recommend you exfoliate 2 days before your wax. This is the best time as we help the short hair to come through but enough time for the skin to be robust again ready for the warm wax. It’s never a good idea to exfolite the night before or on the day of your appointment the skin is not robust enough for the wax.  This can course sensitivity that can last for longer than usual

Who benefits from Lash tint?

Who benefits from lash tint?

People who wear glasses and people who work in heated conditions like kitchens, Saunas and gyms. Clients who are very sensitive and find lash extensions time consuming, high maintenance or do not get on with the whole process of lash extensions. This treatment is least invasive as lash tint can stay on for 10-20 minutes on lashes to develop the tint. On average, a client will need their lashes tinted every 6weeks. Just be aware that going on holiday your lashes will be exposed to sunlight resulting in faster fading and this applies to chlorine in the swimming pool too. Clients who have this done usually comment that they didn’t realise how long their lashes are. Most clients will benefit from tinting because the tips and the bases of these hairs are usually lighter than the body of the hairs, causing the hairs to appear shorter than they are.

Where did waxing start?

Where did this whole hair removal thing start? How long has it been around? Curious much? We could bore you with the details, but think the below summary should just give you an idea. And how it developed

Go Hairless! The ancient Egyptians around 1150 BC removed all their hair from their armpits to their pubic hair using sugaring. While people had been removing hair since the cavemen, the Egyptians began the format closest to waxing.

Middle Ages

With many trendsetters in our time, Queen Elizabeth was one among us. However, while hair removal was also fairly common at this time, it was more common for your face rather than your bodies…yep, that’s right, eyebrows included – women would heavily wax their eyebrows because a large forehead was a desirable trait…don’t ask us why. Trust us when we say that we have no idea what kind of look they were going for!

Modern day waxing

Wax strips made debut by 1960. Go- to method of hair removal
